what is Devil Survivor 2?
SMT Devil Survivor 2 is a turn-based tactical JRPG for the Nintendo DS, originally released in North America on February 28, 2011. An enhanced remake called Record Breaker was released for the 3DS in 2015. I like to describe it as a modern day Fire Emblem game with R-rated Pokémon.
who is Yamato Hotsuin?
Yamato is one of the main characters in Devil Survivor 2, the improbably young Chief of a shady government organization called JP's. He's cold, unapproachable, and driven by some questionable ambitions, but as the player gets closer to him, he reveals a surprising sense of humor and an immense capacity for change and growth.
Both Devil Survivor games mean a lot to me. I've played vanilla and Record Breaker several times each, and Yamato's character arc never gets old. I made this site to celebrate my fondness for him and to compile certain resources (like dialogue transcripts) that fandom might find useful. It may be an older game, but I've never stopped loving it. If you're a fan of the games, I hope to share my enthusiasm with you.
